INFORMATION
Glum trained with Ian Balding on the flat as a youngster. His first, and only race he was last due to his enthusiasm out of the gates and lack of racing spirit. He did not race until he was three as he was such a tall and light yearling and two year old. As a four year old he was sent to Henrietta Knight to try his hand at National Hunt racing; however, already being a sprinter he could not handle the distance plus the fences, plus also knowing Glum I dont think he would have had the guts to throw himself at large fences! At six he was retired from racing to the field, before being hacked two years later. Louise and Glum found each other in 2002.
Glum is a little precious. (aka accident prone) Throughout our time together we have dealt with many injuries ranging from a firm favourite of bruised sole and pus in the foot, to a full length deep cut from shoulder to knee requiring 8 weeks box rest with a full leg length bandage on. (he did this by getting up in the morning!)
His favourite things are; polos, rolling in the mud, his best friend Harry and flying changes!
His Major Dislikes: Clipping, being plaited, rain and walk-trot transitions
